Tax Consultants | Big 4Various opportunities exist for qualified ACAs/AITIs to join the Tax Division of a prestigious ‘Big 4’ firm, advising a diverse portfolio of plcs, multinationals, semi-state organisations and privately owned Irish companies. Clients operate in a large range of different industries such as retail and consumer, pharmaceuticals, engineering and construction, food, energy and utilities. The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for tax compliance and planning on behalf of a wide range of different organisations. Role will involve liaison with colleagues in other departments of the firm such as VAT, HR and audit, as well as overseas offices. Responsibilities include: Conducting research in order to have an in-depth understanding of a client's industry and business. Working with and reporting to the Tax Manager on a portfolio of domestic & international clients. Maintaining and developing business contacts and new products and services. Participation in non-client projects and events. Share knowledge skills and experience. Ensuring that all work is completed and documented in accordance with prescribed standards. Developing the knowledge of junior team members by sharing best practices and providing regular coaching on the completion of their assigned sections. Demonstrating strong technical knowledge and research issues, presenting alternatives and drawing conclusions. Monitoring the progress of the junior team members towards completion of work and adjusting the work plan when necessary. Continuously communicating with the Manager and/or Partner with respect to engagement progress – risks, issues, variances from plan in terms of time, budget, etc. Participating in delivering meaningful individual performance evaluations on a timely basis. 160;Education / Professional Qualifications: AITI/ACA qualification or equivalent A recognised university degree or equivalent Experience, Skills and Personal Qualities At least 3 years relevant experience. Sound understanding of tax technical matters. Good numerical and literary skills. Willingness and desire to take ownership, responsibility, and show initiative. Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and capable of delivering within tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Willingness to adapt to change.
