M&A Tax Manager ‘Big 4’ Prestigious ‘Big 4’ firm requires a high calibre AITI to join its expert M&A team advising on all aspects of mergers, acquisitions, disposals and private equity transactions on behalf of the following: Clients considering joint ventures or strategic alliance arrangementsClients pursuing a growth by acquisition strategyClients disposing of a company or business unitPPP projects involving complex long-term financing in a public procurement environment160;Clients requiring financing/fundraisingClients with merger, acquisition, divestiture in the pipelineRecent acquisition, merger, divestiture or MBOProject managing other advisers (e.g. lawyers, due diligence providers etc).The Role:The successful candidate will form part of the M&A group which provides services to clients engaged in domestic and international M&A transactions.160; The firm has an excellent track record in helping clients to find the right buyer for their business/helping them to identify the right acquisition target to fit with their strategic ambition. As a Manager, responsibilities will include working on significant engagements on a day-to-day basis with a high degree of autonomy, providing strategic and tactical input into the development of structuring ideas and solutions for clients. There will be a high level of interaction with other offices in the firm’s international network.Responsibilities:Managing160; and developing a portfolio of M&A engagementsWorking as part of a team on some of the M&A group’s largest projectsPreparing reports detailing issues found and recommending corrective and preventative actions to resolve themContinuously communicating with the Director and/or Partner with respect to the engagement progress – risks, issues, variances from plan in terms of time, budget, etcEnsuring that all work is completed and documented in accordance with prescribed standardsManaging large meetings, conference calls, etcSharing knowledge, skills and experienceDeveloping and maintaining solid business relationshipsManaging a team of tax professionals including staff development and performance management.Education:AITI/ACA or other relevant professional qualification.Experience, Skills and Personal Qualities:4+ years experience as a Tax professional at Manager level in practice or industryExperience of advising on mergers and acquisitions, particularly on cross-border deals an advantageSolid tax knowledgeProven ability to lead and
