Senior Manager Our client is a leading global professional services firm offering a wide range of services to many of the worlds' largest and most prestigious public and private clients.160; As well as being the market leaders within the Irish investment management industry in both mutual funds and hedge funds, their160; global business extends to other jurisdictions including Luxembourg, Hong Kong, Bermuda, Boston, San Francisco, New York and the Channel Islands.160; Their largest FS market sector provides audit and business advisory services to investment management companies, fund administrators, custodians and investment funds.160; 160; The Role:As a Senior Manager working as part of this specialised FS team, the successful candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of audit clients, and will report directly to the audit partner of each engagement. He/She will oversee all aspects of the client engagement, from planning to execution to completion and in this respect will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring the work of more junior staff on the team. The role will also involve significant client interaction and liaison with colleagues and external advisors.Individual manager responsibilities:Conducing engagement assessmentsBudgeting and determination of resource requirementsOrganising partner and QRP (quality review partner) meetings for both planning and completionAppraisals for staff membersReview of client audit files – planning through to completion, incorporating review of financial statementsDrafting board reports, engagement letters and audit representation lettersDevelop client relationship with fund manager.Liaison in relation to planning of cross funds with lead managerInforming lead manager of changes in requirements of staff/timing of jobArchiving file160;Education/Professional Qualifications:A recognised University Degree or equivalentQualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent from a recognised international accounting institution) 160;Experience Required:At least 8 years practice accounting experience in a Big 4 firm or other international accounting firm.A solid track record of demonstrated career achievements and academic excellence, as well as strong oral and written communication skills;A commitment to outstanding client service and intellectual curiosity;The ability to interact with various levels of client and firm managementA flexible approach to both work and team managementA highly motivated self-starterExcellent plan
